Haryana Day is also celebrated every year on 1 November. I was also born in Panipat district of Haryana. I am also a Haryanvi and I am completely proud of it. As soon as I mention Haryana, I remember the line that “The country, the country, the country, Haryana, the food of milk and curd”. The food of Haryana is a little stronger than other states, it has its own distinct culture, it has the maximum brotherhood in the whole of India, it has the maximum amount of milk, curd, ghee, it has the most healthy people and much more. 1. The word Haryana is made up of two words ‘Hari + Aayan’. Which means the abode of God.
2. Among all the states of India, Haryana ranks 21st in terms of area and 18th in terms of population.
3. When Haryana was formed in 1966, it had only 7 districts: Rohtak, Jind, Hisar, Mahendragarh, Gurgaon, Karnal and Ambala. Now their number has reached 22.
4. The population of Haryana is 2.81 crore, which is almost equal to Saudi Arabia, and the maximum number of Jats is 29%.
