Trust vs Mistrust: Psychosocial Stage 1
Trust v/s Mistrust
- This stage is supposed to cover the period from birth to 18 months. The first action of an infant is to develop trust in himself and in his environment. At this stage an infant totally depends on others for his needs. Ifhis needs are not properly fulfilled he will loss trust in his world. Hence there is the need of developing more trust in place of mistrust. Ifmistrust is more then trust the child can become frustrated and can feel lack of confidence in his later life.
